Everything about Mount Maclure totally explained

Mount Maclure is the nearest neighbor to Mount Lyell, the highest point in Yosemite National Park. Mount Maclure is located at the southeast end of the Cathedral Range, .5 mi (.8 km) northwest of Lyell. It is named after William Maclure, a pioneer in American geology who visited the United States in 1779 and again in 1796. Maclure Glacier is one of the last glaciers still remaining in Yosemite.
The most common approach to Mount Maclure is the same as for Mount Lyell.
